BiteSizeTV.com Featuring Six Networks of Fresh Daily, Premium Quality Programming, Celebrity Guests, Special Features and Original Programming, plus Unique Live Feeds from the Brand New BiteSize Studio in Hollywood
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Internet has a new entertainment network, fresh and live from the heart of Hollywood... BiteSizeTV. Ron Bloom's BiteSizeTV today launched the PUBLIC BETA of its much anticipated BiteSizeTV.com (www.bitesizetv.com), a new fully integrated Online Entertainment Network - a first-of-its-kind online, multi-network, multi-channel destination delivering fresh, unscripted daily programming across six networks, and broadcasting live 24/7 from the brand new BiteSize Studios on Hollywood Blvd., in the heart of Hollywood.
Over the last 18 months, Bloom and company have been building a state-of-the-art video studio literally on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. In September, the company began producing content from the glass enclosed, street-side studios, and is now producing a celebrity studded lineup of over 500 episodes per month. At the same time, BiteSizeTV has been preparing for the launch of its new web platform, a fully integrated framework for the development, production, release, promotion and distribution of premium quality programming made for the millennial viewer. Today's announcement brings the two worlds together with the launch of BiteSizeTV.com.
"Television was the entertainment platform of our parents' generations. For Millennials, it is the Internet, and consumption habits have completely changed," said BiteSizeTV founder and CEO, Ron Bloom. "At BiteSizeTV, we are combining the production aesthetics and format-driven concepts pioneered by the greats of television with new technologies and formats designed to entertain new generations of viewers."
At the heart of BiteSizeTV is the Company's new studio, located on the ground floor of the W Hotel in Hollywood, virtually on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The studio features 7 individual set stages, and is surrounded by a soaring wall of glass, allowing the thousands of people who pass by every day to watch (and join in) the production in action. Viewers can also join in via BiteSizeTV LIVE, the Company's 24/7 live freed from the studio, or watch any channel or show, or create their own playlists to stay up to date on their favorite programming. They can also connect directly with hosts to join the show. At launch, BiteSizeTV.com already features 1000s of episodes, with new content being added every day.
In the manner of traditional networks, BiteSizeTV produces its own entertainment, featuring premium original, unscripted content and a constantly evolving lineup of shows, series, features and special events. The Company has also developed a complete, end-to-end production, programming and distribution platform that enables it to manage the production process from concept through delivery to any connected device.
"Increasingly, young viewers are cutting the cord, leaving traditional cable behind. Hulu and Netflix have done a great job of bringing television and films to the net. We have added the third leg to the stool, with fresh, live, daily programming from the heart of Hollywood and around the globe," continued Bloom. "We have had to re-imagine the television industry, from concept through creation, to distribution and marketing. It is a work in progress, and it sometimes feels like laying the tracks in front of a speeding train, but the initial feedback has been incredible."
Even in its Beta launch, BiteSizeTV has welcomed a growing slate of celebrity guests and contributors. In the first 6 weeks, BiteSizeTV studios has welcomed an impressive lineup of celebrity guests, including, Too $hort (Multi-Platinum selling Hip Hop artist), Seamus Dever (ABC's 'Castle'), Reggie Brown (#1 Obama Impersonator), Ken Davitian ('Borat'), Katherine LaNasa ('The Campaign' among other films), Grant Show (ABC/Lifetime's 'Devious Maids'), Anna Trebunskaya ('Dancing with the Stars'), Sofia Sisniega ("Gossip Girl"), Andy Garcia (Oscar-nominated Actor), Dustin Lance Black (Academy Award writer/director), Austin Basis (from the CW's 'Beauty and the Beast'), Keke Palmer (starring in VH1's Original movie about TLC), Lily Kershaw (her song was featured on the finale of "Criminal Minds"), Drew Sidora (starring in VH1's Original movie about TLC), Paris Hilton (American heiress, socialite), Tyler Ritter ('Modern Family'), Colin Walker (HBO's 'Treme'), Landry Bender (Disney XD Star from 'Crash and Bernstein'), Ozomatli (band), Terri Nunn (Lead vocalist of Berlin), Faran Tahir (Star Trek, Iron Man), Shamicka Lawrence & Sheree Fletcher (Hollywood Exes on VH1), Kyle Keller (from VH1's 'Tough Love'), Emily Maynard (star of 'The Bachelorette'), Fiona Dourif (stars in "Curse of Chucky"), Bone Thugs-n-Harmony (Multi Platinum selling Hip Hop group), Steve Lobel (Celebrity Manager), Kristanna Loken ("Fighting For Freedom"), Patricia DeLeon ("PETA" campaign), Al Walser (Grammy nominated Artist), Sara Skinner (musician), Tamra Keenan (voice behind Kaskade's hit "Angel on my Shoulder," and David Morales' 2005 number one Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play track "Here I Am"), EC Twins (Hit EDM DJs), The Orb (Electronic music group), Alex Newell (stars in 'Glee' on FOX), Malcolm Freberg (from CBS' 'Survivor'), Judy Tenuta (Actress, Comedienne), Kenny G. The BiteSizeTV.com site features a number of innovative technologies including "screen sense" which enables a viewer to scroll through programming while not losing the original viewing window. In the same manner that BiteSizeTV tests its programming, the company is introducing features and testing them with fans to see which ones should be evolved and to continue to shape the viewing experience.
BiteSizeTV is pioneering a new model for short-form entertainment, producing longer format channels containing individual shows and segments, which can be watched linearly, or binge viewed on a show-by-show basis. This new format enables the company to flex its formats to accommodate the increasing number of celebrity guests that are visiting the network and to try out new ideas that may spin out into their own shows.
"We are bridging the gap between movie and television sites and user generated video sites," continues Bloom. "However, as more and more viewers are cutting the cable cord, there is something missing. We are focusing on bringing them programming that is TV Quality, fresh, free and live every day. That is our sweet spot. And wait 'till you see where we are going from here!"
BiteSizeTV is a vertically integrated entertainment network producing proprietary, premium, Hollywood studio-quality entertainment and making it available on any connected device. At its core, BiteSize is the fusion of top, Academy and Emmy Award-winning veteran producers, directors, writers and actors, the hottest new up-and-coming TV and new media talent, and the latest cutting edge Silicon Valley know-how. The company delivers its programming fresh every day from its live studios on the ground floor of the Hollywood W Hotel, virtually on the corner of Hollywood and Vine.
