Chrysler Group LLC revealed 20 Mopar-modified show vehicles this week ahead of the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas on Nov. 5-8.
Mopar-modified vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, SRT and FIAT brands will be featured at the premier aftermarket event, according to a Chrysler news release.
"The SEMA season is our favorite time of the year," Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC's service, parts and customer-care brand, said in the release. "It's a chance for us to flex our creative muscles and showcase our vast portfolio of proven, quality-tested performance parts and accessories."
Display vehicles headed to this year's SEMA show include the Ram Sun Chaser, the Fiat 500L Adventurer, the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver and the 2014 Chrysler 300S.
The Sun Chaser, a Ram 1500 Quad Cab modified for surfers. That means rails to accommodate long boards, side rails for up to four more boards, and a water tank for showering after hitting the waves -- and for hosing saltwater off the Vibrance Orange Blast and Brilliant Black paint job.
The Fiat 500L Adventurer, a versatile five-seater set on 18 x 7.5-inch custom concept wheels, is meant for rugged outings. Mopar touches include roof rails and a large roof basket, all-weather mats, a pedal kit, doorsill guards and a cargo organizer, along with a Mopar cold-air intake for boosting horsepower.
The Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver offers street luxury and back-road toughness. The Mopar-modified Cherokee starts with the Trailhawk 4x4 package powered by a 3.2-liter V-6 engine and adds rock rails and off-road tires, while in-the-cab touches include Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, a wireless smartphone charger, and WiFi.
The elegant Chrysler 300's variety of Mopar appointments include a Phantom Black Tri-coat paint job, a menacing 13-bar black "Gotham" grille surround, and a lowering kit to drop this ride closer to the street. The 20 x 8-inch wheels are finished in a Mopar bronze, accented with Mopar wheel center caps, and the leather seatbacks are embossed with the "Imported From Detroit" logo.
