-- Associated Press,Princess Diana's longtime lover slams biopic starring Naomi Watts

Dr. Hasnat Khan, the now 54-year-old cardiologist whose secret romance with the late Princess Diana is the basis for the movie, "Diana," told Britain's The Sun that the film is a "betrayal" of the couple's love.

"I can see a lot of humor in a lot of bad things, but in this one I can't," Hasnat told The Sun. "I haven't seen the film, and I haven't met anyone who has seen it, but I can tell you for sure that it's based on a superficial idea. I have kept things very discreet, but now this film is trying to open things up again."

At the heart of the cardiothoracic surgeon's problems with the film -- which is based on the 2001 book. "Diana: Her Last Love" -- is the movie's suggestion that his family did not accept his high- profile lover because she wasn't Muslim. That, he says, simply isn't true.

"Lost" actor Naveen Andrews plays Hasnat in the movie, which covers his two-year relationship with the royal that ended shortly before her death in 1997.

Hasnat doesn't publicly discuss the pair's relationship often because he finds it "very difficult" -- and he's annoyed that "Diana" is drudging up his trauma all over again.

"We all have our own traumas and get on with it -- but when it's there in your face year in, year out, it's hard," he told the Sun.

"Even when these lines are delivered by the fragrant Naomi Watts, doing her level best with a squirmingly embarrassing script, this film is still atrocious and intrusive," Britain's Sunday Times' reviewer wrote.

"Diana" director Oliver Hirschbiegel told the BBC that the critical drubbing has been a royal headache for everyone involved.

"It's devastating, but when you make a film like this, you don't think about the reactions," he said.

I liked Kelsey Grammer on the show "Boss." What will he be doing now? -- D.N.

Kelsey, most famous, of course, for "Frasier," moved right from that series to movies. He voices a character in the animated musical "Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return," starring Lea Michele and due next May; co-stars with Sylvester Stallone in the drama "Reach Me," due next March; co-stars in the romantic comedy "Think Like a Man Too," due next June; and is shooting the sequel "Transformers: Age of Extinction," with Mark Wahlberg, also due next June. -- AP,A Philadelphia TV news anchor is being criticized for trying to get her Twitter followers to watch the station's coverage of a deadly shooting by comparing it to "Breaking Bad."

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports WTXF-TV news anchor Joyce Evans tweeted "Thought 'Breaking Bad' was hot last Sunday? See who's breaking bad in SW Philly, leavin' 6 people SHOT -- Tonite at Ten!"

Viewers immediately criticized Joyce, with one person writing it sounded "like it was written by a sociopath."

Joyce is a longtime anchor at the Fox affiliate. She later responded that she was trying to compare the "very real life drama" of the shooting to the fictional show about a chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine dealer.

The shooting the evening of Oct. 6 killed one person and wounded five. It remains under investigation.
