Products presented by Iranian firms in the Sixth International Nanotechnology Festival (Iran Nano 2013) enjoyed higher quality and advancement.
This was announced by Dr.
"In this year's festival, special attention has been paid to commercialization and presentation of products in the market. The stall for innovative plans can be considered one of the steps undertaken in this regard," Rezayat said during his visit to Iran Nano 2013,
"In the section for university and research institutes, more advanced products have been presented in comparison with the previous years, such that a majority of universities have displayed large research projects, which have led to the production of technological products," he said.
"Qualitative progress in nanotechnology is increasing in universities and research institutes because they used to display their students' theses in the previous festivals. However, this year, they are displaying the products that have been successfully commercialized."
Valuable efforts have been made in the Sixth International Festival on Nanotechnology (Iran Nano 2013) to introduce the applications of nanotechnology in the fields of agriculture and packaging.
As a result, the companies active in the field have presented achievements that have a higher quality.
In this festival, seven companies are active in the fields of agriculture and packaging.
Given the importance of this subject, nanofiltration systems have been presented in Agriculture Section of the festival to purify irrigation water. The filters eliminate all poisonous and harmful materials and produce water for use in agricultural sector.
Various types of nutritious fertilizers in the form of capsules and controllable fertilizers are among other products that have been presented in Agricultural Section of Iran Nano 2013.
Biological fertilizers and nano-chelates have also been displayed in the festival. One kilogram of this fertilizer has an effect equivalent to the impact of 500 kg of normal phosphate and nitrate fertilizer. The fertilizers are effective in the solution and in the transference of materials required by the plants, and contrary to phosphate and nitrate fertilizers that may cause cancer, these fertilizers are harmless.
One of the important challengers in the field of vegetables and fruits is the fact that 30-40 percent of the products are wasted before they are marketed. One of the solutions is the use of nano-packaging and nano-waxes.
Packages made of nanomaterials conserve the fruit until it is presented to the consumer.
