Conventional chocolate decorating processes are extremely labor intensive, relying on the user to manually repeat the exact deposit sizes needed for the specific application. This leads to higher cost and lower production efficiency. When the Nordson EFD Performus is incorporated into the production process, chocolate manufacturers are able to consistently dispense precise amounts of pre-heated colored chocolate in an assembly line to create the additional layer of detail found in complex figures. The Perfomus dispensers offer a range of operator controls, including a digital timer, vacuum control to prevent fluid dripping, and a variety of pressure regulators that meet the dispensing requirements used in the food industry.
