Verizon Communications has revealed earnings of USD30.3 billion for the three months ended 30 Sept 2013, an enhance of 4.4% year-on-year. Combined operating earnings for the third quarter was USD7.1 billion, up 30.0% on an annualized basis, while EBITDA increased 16.9% on a twelve-month basis, adding up to USD11.3 billion in 3Q13. Net earnings for the July-September period totalled USD5.6 billion, compared to USD4.3 billion one year earlier.
In functional terms, mobile device Verizon Wireless saw its retail subscriber usage increase 5.5% to 101.2 million. The mobile device added 1.061 million retail clients on a net foundation in the third quarter, such as 927,000 net post-paid additions; as at 30 Sept smartphones constituted 67% of Verizon wireless Wireless post-paid users list. In addition, Verizon wireless verified sales of 6.8 million Long Term Evolution appropriate devices in the third quarter, while 64% of its total data traffic is now carried over its 4G network.
