NGL Media will host its first ever Latino Digital Video Summit this month, with a focus on how Hispanics influence the digital video space from a media, marketing and entertainment perspective.
The summit, set for Oct. 29, is hosted by Disney ABC Television Group and will be held on the Walt Disney Studio Lot from 2-7 p.m. in Burbank, Calif.
"Unlike any time in the history of media and entertainment, Latinos are making a significant impact in new and profound ways. As screens continue to multiply, the democratization process through which video content is being produced and distributed has become self-evident," David Chitel, NGL Media CEO, said in a press release. "Coupled with Latinos heavily over-indexing in both their adoption of technology and their creation of original content, they've become core contributors to a new and emerging Digital democracy."
NGL Media was co-founded by actor John Leguizamo to create Hispanic video content and video marketing solutions, according to its website.
"Our partnerships with Latino content producers, distributors, celebrities and advertisers alike have only reinforced our belief that this is the space that will change the course of Latino media and entertainment as we know it," NGL Media COO Ben Leff said in a statement.
Attendees of the Latino Digital Video summit include Giselle Achecar, founder and CEO of Eco Rico Entertainment; actor Wilmer Valderrama; Flavio Morales, EVP of Big Vida Entertainment; Steve Bradbury, COO of Zazoom; James Briggs, CEO of Briabe Mobile; and Albert Cheng, EVP and chief product officer of digital media at Disney/ABC Television Group.
The Latino Digital Video Summit will feature a combination of panels and case studies focused on advancing the conversation around Hispanics' influence in digital video media, marketing and entertainment. Panels will discuss Latino video content and how it is being created, distributed and supported by advertisers who are eager to digitally connect with the Latino audience.
NGL Media will present video case studies highlighting industry success stories from some of its "blue chip" advertiser clients, according to a press release. A celebrity panel will end the event, followed by a cocktail networking reception on the Disney Studio Lot.
