According to the survey, 72 percent of chief information officers rated their workers' satisfaction levels fairly high. However, 35 percent of IT workers polled said they plan to look for another job in the next year, and another 35 percent are unsure about whether they will stay in their current roles.

The need for new challenges and a lack of career advancement potential were the chief factors in the IT workers' search for greener pastures, officials said.
