Telsis today launches the Ocean Service Manager, a browser-based management front-end for its established Ocean Services Platform that the vendor claims creates the world's most effective revenue-generating machine for value-added multi-media services.
Together the Ocean Services Manager and Ocean Services Platform allow telcos, resellers and their end-user customers to create, roll out, monitor and manage on-the-fly their value-added multi-media services.
Many operators, says Telsis, are handicapped by single-service platforms that require vendor input for the creation or reconfiguration of services and whose Web interfaces provide only rudimentary statistics and control. The Telsis solution's unique flexibility will be of particular relevance to operators in highly competitive markets where value-added services are a key weapon in the battle to win corporate customers, says the company. A major German telco has already signed to deploy Service Manager and Telsis is in active talks with others about the solution.
With the Telsis solution operators are able to script their own services from pre-built service blocks, or use its companion Java toolkit to extend or modify services to quickly meet end-user needs. The solution also provides a comprehensive set of service analytics, enabling services to be fine-tuned for maximum return.
"If there is such a thing as the killer value-added services solution, the Ocean Service Manager running alongside the Ocean Services Platform is it," says Telsis head of product management,
Telsis Service Manager supports all contemporary browsers and mobile or static devices including smartphones. It is available in a number of forms ranging from an underlying service with APIs that enables deploying operators to create their own Web front end, through to a white label Web application that can be fully customised to enable access by end-user corporate customers.
The Ocean Services Platform runs on standards COTS servers and achieves the same carrier-grade, greater than 99.999% availability of alternative core network services platforms.
To facilitate even faster return on investment, and lower costs, the Ocean Services Platform includes a suite of generic services that can be quickly customised by deploying operators. And unlike many alternative solutions, the Ocean Services Platform runs multiple services concurrently, each in its own protected environment, rather than being limited to the provision of a single service. The Telsis mission is to enrich people's lives through innovations in communications technology and services. Over 25 years, Telsis has provided tier-1 network operators with flexible infrastructure and compelling services in voice, text and video. From TDM, through IP-based networks to IMS and LTE, Telsis provides evolutionary solutions to match customers' network developments and enable the provision of advanced services today.
Telsis' portfolio of services is backed by proven engineering skills, system integration expertise, and a deep understanding of human factors, all of which combine in solutions that enable operators to offer their customers exciting and practical services with compelling real-world appeal. www.telsis.com -ends-
