ESC Scandinavia, Kista, Sweden,
November 5-6 2013
SAN JOSE, CA–15th October, 2013–LynuxWorks, Inc., a world leader in the embedded software market, will present a paper entitled “Embedded real -time virtualization brings RTOS and GPOS together” at the eighth Embedded Conference Scandinavia at Kista, Stockholm, Sweden on November 5-6 2013
Lee Cresswel, EMEA Sales Director LynuxWorks, Inc will be looking at the challenges associated with offering the GUI or Connectivity functionality usually found in General Purpose Operating Systems (GPOS) such as Windows or Linux in embedded devices that require the hard real -time determinism of an RTOS. He will be exploring the options available to embedded developers to bring desktop functionality to the new generation of connected embedded devices. Lee will look at adding this type of functionality to the RTOS, adding real-time capabilities to the GPOS and also examine the use of a real-time deterministic hypervisor running on modern multi-core hardware, allowing the GPOS and RTOS to run next to each other on the same system, with no modifications required to either OS.
Lee will also be available on the LynuxWorks booth (21) at the Conference for more detailed discussion on real-time design considerations and how LynuxWorks products can meet them. Lee Cresswell has 25 years’ experience in embedded software. He has an MBA from London Business School and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of York.
