According to a release, new components will include reliable door controllers, computers for central communication, and patented Smart Sense technology with multiple methods of tamper detection for reduced false alarms. The water-resistant Smart Sense transmitter is secured around an infant's ankle using soft banding material, ensuring the comfort of the infant and peace of mind for the family.
Staff can monitor each baby via automated software that alerts them if a band is loose, has been tampered with, cut, or has been removed from the infant. The system will automatically lock the door and notify staff members of a potential security threat via audible and visual alarms if an infant wearing a transmitter comes within range of a monitored exit.
