Vistaar Technologies, a provider of price management solutions, announced that the company has been included in six Gartner Hype Cycle reports published throughout July and August.
According to a release, in particular, Vistaar was mentioned in the Aug. 14, Gartner "Hype Cycle for CRM Sales" report as a sample vendor in the price optimization and management space. Per the report, price optimization "is evolving from a complex, analytics- focused tool used primarily by specialized pricing specialists to a business insight and operations tool that is used throughout the organization to maximize profitability."
"Price optimization intersects with and underpins the top priorities of most global executives," according to the report. "Gartner's research on global business top 10 strategies for 2013 identifies the top three strategies as: (1) increasing business growth; (2) delivering operational results; and (3) reducing enterprise costs."
The Gartner Hype Cycle Report for CRM Sales reviews the visibility, maturity and value of key sales automation technologies and applications to help organizations determine which applications will best meet their needs and budgets. Gartner also reports that "companies that have implemented price optimization successfully have realized significant revenue improvement, and the ROI of the price optimization investment is typically realized in less than two years. These results will promote more widespread adoption of price optimization. However, the complexity of pricing structures and the relatively specialized pricing requirements of vertical industries will continue to slow broader adoption."
Vistaar noted its solutions are mentioned in six recent Gartner Hype Cycle reports that include: Hype Cycle for CRM Sales; Hype Cycle for CRM Marketing Applications, July 31; Hype Cycle for Analytic Applications, July 31; Hype Cycle for E-Commerce, July, 31; Hype Cycle for Big Data, July 31; and Hype Cycle for Performance Management, July 31.
