Be Enchanted this weekend ; With an exciting new Essex festival just days away Rachael Hook gets the latest on the line-up and what to expect from Enchanted taking place at Greenwoods Hotel, Stock on Saturday

On Saturday, October 12 a musical and artistic infusion will transform Greenwoods Hotel, Stock with 14 acclaimed artists and film makers. US funk-rock band Dan Reed Network will be performing their first UK performance in two decades at the one-day festival which will take place at the Grade II listed hotel on Stock Road.

This will be the band's only UK performance this year where they will be performing material from their Nile Rodgers-produced album Slam with a few surprises as well. Alongside Dan Reed Network in the Marquee Stage are Boomin and Justin Lavash plus Lo Dost, kicking off their UK tour as part of the UK's newest live music lo-fi event.

The manor's Grand Hall will be rocking to Greg Darling, Alchemy, Dave McPherson and Georgina Harvey plus The Rising Souls and Lloyd Williams. Musician and producer Rob Daiker is heading the Acoustic Stage with sets from Bart Hafeman, Bengan Jonasson, and Limehawk adding an un-plugged flavour to the UK Dan Reed Network re-union.

There will also be the world film premiere of new British crime thrillers Looters, Tooters and Sawn-off Shooters. Enchanted's packed programme includes a Steampunk Opera and short film festival, plus specially-commissioned art works and a 'goals and motivation' workshop with life coach Gina Gardiner.

The international festival has so far attracted visitors from Sweden, the USA, France, Germany, Japan and the UK.

Enchanted performer and event curator, Dan Reed, said: Enchanted will be an intimate event so people can enjoy the very personal experience of getting closer to music, art, poetry and film while reconnecting with themselves. Stock is a very beautiful English village so the setting could not be better and we're looking forward to welcoming artists and fans alike to Enchanted from around the world. We have a great line-up of performers - established and upcoming alike - who are going to finish the season in style. Driving Enchanted's creation was a belief that the festival season should finish in style with a boutique event at an intimate venue. Festival-goers will be able to experience reflexology therapy and head massages in their very own green room.

They are also staging an exclusive acoustic after-show party where Dan Reed Network and all the other artists will be kicking back and chilling out in style in Greenwoods' Grand Hall after curtain drops.

There were 1,000 tickets in total for the festival and a handful are left priced at Pounds 48 for adults and Pounds 24 for children aged five to 12.
