CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/13 -- The Construction Writers Association (CWA) will host a networking reception for construction journalists and marketing communications professionals on Feb. 6 at the World of Concrete 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The CWA reception will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 in Room N250 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. There is no charge to attend the reception, which will include refreshments and light snacks. CWA members and nonmembers are invited. Register here.
CWA hosts networking receptions at leading industry exhibitions as an opportunity for its members and guests to network with fellow industry communicators. "These receptions are a great way for CWA members and potential members to meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances," said CWA member Patti Flesher, director of communications, Portland Cement Association. "We're all so busy during the year, and these events are a chance to reconnect."
Flesher noted that the CWA receptions are also a great way for potential members to find out more about CWA, its educational services and other networking opportunities. "CWA provides a focused resource to help construction industry communications professionals do their jobs better," she said. "Members have access to invaluable contacts when they need information, and there's also the opportunity to make lasting friendships."
Kubota and Hilti are sponsoring the CWA reception at World of Concrete 2013. Additional sponsors are welcome. For more information about sponsorships, contact CWA at 1(773) 687-8726 or email@example.com.
World of Concrete is the industry's annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. "This is one of the first industry trade shows of the year, so it will be an ideal time for attendees to look back at a challenging 2012 and what may be ahead for the industry in 2013," Flesher said.
The Construction Writers Association (CWA), founded in 1958, is a non-profit, non-partisan, international organization that provides a forum for journalism, photography, marketing, and communications professionals in all segments of the construction industry to connect with other professionals and enhance skills through education.
