BURLINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- (Marketwire) -- 01/08/13 -- Klocwork Inc., the global leader in automated source code analysis (SCA) solutions for developing more secure software, today announced both its Q4 and fiscal year 2012 results. The company reported quarter-over-quarter bookings growth of 15 percent for the last quarter and year-over-year bookings growth of 18 percent for the year ending December 31, 2012.
"In the last twelve months we achieved record first half performance, reported the largest quarter in company history and closed out another very successful year with record bookings," said Mike Laginski, Chief Executive Officer, Klocwork. "Those results came from being 100 percent focused on bringing the best developer-focused, secure coding analysis tools to market and ensuring our customers are successful with those tools. That will continue to be our focus for 2013."
The company's performance in 2012 was fueled by the following achievements:
First-to-market with on-the-fly analysis: Klocwork Insight was the first - and remains the only - source code analysis solution to instantly identify security vulnerabilities as developers are writing their code. In the same way that spell checkers are embedded into the document creation process, Klocwork Insight highlights errors for developers to fix the moment they're created. This developer-friendly approach to finding and fixing code weaknesses is more logical, more efficient and less risky than traditional approaches.
Surpassed 1000th customer milestone: At the close of the first half of 2012, Klocwork announced it had surpassed the 1000th customer milestone and achieved record bookings performance for the first six months of 2012.
Achieving CWE Compatibility Certification: Klocwork was one of the first five companies to achieve an official Certificate of Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Compatibility, the highest level of CWE support that is currently offered by The MITRE Corporation's formal CWE Compatibility and Effectiveness Program. As a CWE Compatible product, Klocwork Insight helps customers implement a software security assurance program that aligns with CWE.
Joining GENIVI® Alliance: With extensive MISRA coding standards coverage already built-in to its technology, Klocwork furthered its commitment to the highly software-dependent automotive industry by joining the GENIVI Alliance, a non-profit automotive and consumer electronics industry association driving the development and adoption of an open in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) reference platform. To help GENIVI ensure the security and reliability of the code base used by automotive OEMs and their suppliers, Klocwork ran a static analysis scan of several GENIVI C/C++ projects and provided detailed reporting of potential issues.
