California Hispanic Chambers to Launch First Economic Summit

The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, the premier organization promoting the development of Hispanic entrepreneurs and emerging Latino businesses in California, announced today that it will present its First Annual Economic Summit on Thursday, March 14 at the Sacramento Convention Center.

The event is sponsored by Wells Fargo and will feature Assemblymember Jose Medina of Riverside, chair of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy, and Eugenio J. Aleman, Director and Senior Economist of Wells Fargo Securities, among the speakers at the summit.

"The mission of the Economic Summit is to determine how businesses, government, labor, and higher education can work together to create sustainable jobs for California," said Mark Martinez, CEO and President of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. "Latino businesses will play a vital role in job creation for California's future."

Assemblymember Medina was elected in November 2012 to represent California's 61st Assembly District, which consists of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris and Mead Valley.
