VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/03/13 -- San Marco Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SMN) has received notification from Patriot Minefinders Inc. that they will not be proceeding with the La Buena property option. This option, as disclosed in the Company's news release dated February 29th 2012, has thus terminated.

San Marco's field geological crews will mobilize to the La Buena property approximately January 15th to finalize additional detailed surface work in preparation for Phase I drilling.
