LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/03/13 -- MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCQB: MMRF) ("MMR") today announced that its patented MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record (PHR) and telehealth portal will be showcased as part of 12 new Alcatel-Lucent (EURONEXT PARIS: ALU) (NYSE: ALU) cloud-based ng Connect services in the Alcatel-Lucent ng Connect Booth 31412 at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, January 8-11, in Las Vegas (see Alcatel-Lucent press release). MMR's Personal Health Record will be a part of the Connected Health and Wellness cloud-based services that bridge the gap between consumer personalized health and wellness programs and professional, secure telehealth services. This service enables the sharing of information between patient and doctor using the Alcatel-Lucent Telepresence Collaboration Suite (see Alcatel-Lucent CES 2013 Press Kit).

The professional telehealth service provides patients with a private and secure environment for interacting remotely with their medical practitioners. It employs a video conferencing system utilizing life-size images and eye contact for the most realistic telepresence experience possible. Using the system, documents from a MyMedicalRecords PHR can be shared with providers in real-time through collaborative displays. At CES, MMR will be part of an Alcatel-Lucent idea showcase aimed at stimulating application innovation for consumers by connecting devices like smartphones and tablets to Personal Health Records. MyMedicalRecords can also receive protected personal health information into a telemedicine inbox which is already included inside of every MyMedicalRecords.com PHR.

The ng Connect Program, founded by Alcatel-Lucent, is a multi-industry "ecosystem" dedicated to the creation of the next-generation user experience for connected consumers. Among the most recent members to join the ng Connect ecosystem is Sprint, the first North America service provider to become part of the program. The ng Connect program is comprised of more than 190 member companies that include MMRGlobal, Samsung, Intel, Sprint, Kyocera, HP, Idealab, IMAX, Telecom Italia, and others (http://www.ngconnect.org/members/collaborating-members.htm).
