SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, is happy to announce that Unite 2013, its seventh annual developer conference, will be held from August 28 - 30, 2013 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, Canada. Additionally, region specific Unite conferences will be held in 2013 with the potential for more to be added later in the year.
Unite 2013 is an event for developers, publishers, enthusiasts and others interested in Unity to come together to learn more about the market-leading platform for creating high quality video games, training simulations, medical and architectural visualizations and other 3D interactive content -- and how to get the most out of it. The conference offers three days of learning including advanced hands-on class tutorials, technical sessions, previews of upcoming technology as well as the chance to network in a creative and energetic environment and awesome parties.
The Vancouver setting provides a naturally beautiful location in one of the world's most exciting cities. The Vancouver Convention Centre is an inspiring modern venue overlooking picturesque Vancouver Harbor and situated with quick access by foot or taxi to the city's many hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
Sessions, speakers, sponsors, awards, and party information will be released at a later date.

Unity Training Day
Unity Technologies will also host a separate Unity Training Day event at the Vancouver Convention Centre on August 27 to give new and inexperienced users a foundation for Unity development before the big show begins. This year the training day will focus on hands-on tutorials where attendees build a small project over a full day of information-packed sessions covering everything from the initial setup of a scene to basic retargeting and animation in Mecanim and particle effect generation in Shuriken.
Regional Unite Events
Following the great success of 2012's Unity Bootcamps throughout Asia and popularity of the yearly main Unite event, Unity Technologies will hold Unite events in Asia and Europe in 2013 and will continue to expand the list of territories over the year in order to meet the increasing global demand for Unity specific conferences. These regional two day events are designed to provide an ever expanding global community of Unity developers with access to Unite-style learning and networking opportunities and targeted region-specific sessions without the high cost of overseas travel. The current list of regional events includes:
•Unite Japan - April 15-16 - Tokyo •Unite China - April 20-21 - Shanghai •Unite Korea - April 23-24 - Seoul •Unite Nordic (in association with Nordic Game Conference) - May 21-22 - Malmo •Unite Colombia - Date and Location TBD
