NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- New York Latin Culture, the guide to Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American New York, announced nominees for the New York Latin Culture Awards to be held January 24, 7-8pm at Tous, the Spanish jewelry boutique at 109 Greene Street in SoHo.
The awards recognize leaders of government, education and culture institutions for their contributions to Latin culture in New York City in the previous year.
"We work with the City's Anglo and Latin communities every day promoting sophisticated Latin culture and noticed that a few organizations set the pulse of the entire City," said Ximena Ojeda, New York Latin Culture Director. "The New York Latin Culture Awards honor these outstanding organizations. Interestingly they are not all Latin. Everyone loves Latin culture, it is part of New York's DNA and the City generously supports it."
