LONDON -- (Marketwire) -- 01/22/13 -- Securing its leadership as a global provider of cloud hosting and infrastructure for outsourced IT, Datapipe today announced a new partnership with Insight UK aimed at increasing new revenue opportunities via Insight's next-generation cloud services. As part of the agreement, Insight is fully leveraging Datapipe's managed services capability to extend its InsightCloud services portfolio.
Founded in 1988, Insight UK is one of Europe's leading technology resellers -- supplying a broad range of hardware and software solutions for businesses and public sector clients. Insight is a trusted IT advisor for firms of all sizes by bringing together expert knowledge, vendor accreditations and a full global presence when it comes to the supply of computers, hardware, software and services such as cloud computing.
Ashley Gatehouse, VP Marketing EMEA, explained that Insight is dedicated to advancing the business goals of its customers and partners, "We advance our customers' goals by helping make the most of their business-critical technology -- whether it's cloud, virtualisation, networking, or security," he said. "However, to make this happen, customers want more than a reseller; they demand a partner willing to act as an extension of their business. That's where we come in."
The InsightCloud portfolio is now backed by decades of managed hosting expertise from Datapipe. Both companies are working together to assist customers in running their businesses more cost-effectively using the flexibility and efficiencies offered by cloud computing.
Continued Gatehouse, "Cloud infrastructures have completely changed the way people think about the channel. It's no longer how quickly you can move boxes, but the value-added services brought to the table. That's the idea behind Insight and our InsightCloud offering."
As part of the partnership, Insight UK will leverage Datapipe's Stratosphere® solution. Stratosphere® is a globally available, high-performance managed cloud computing platform, designed to meet enterprise requirements for governance, usability, compliance and interoperability with traditional compute platforms. The cloud solution enables self-service cloud environments, cloud diversity in conjunction with the AWS ecosystem, and hybrid cloud options featuring Datapipe's managed hosting, compliance and security services.
