For year-ending 2012, Act-On's revenue was 298 percent of revenue in 2011. Act-On also experienced immense growth in customer and employee numbers in 2012. Act-On customer acquisition continued its torrid pace with the acquisition of 351 new customers in Q4 alone. The total number of customers at the end of 2012 was over 234 percent of the total number in 2011. Act-On doubled its employee base over the prior year, continuing to invest in the overall growth and momentum of the business.

Act-On grew its platform infrastructure by over 200 percent in 2012 to scale with the increased usage, and to support the hundreds of new customers adopting Act-On every quarter. Usage is measured by total number of customer emails sent, website visitors tracked, and social media engagements made within the Act-On marketing automation platform. The overall activity on the platform increased even faster than the growth of new customers, clearly indicating greater usage by customers over time.
