LONDONDERRY, NH -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- Stonyfield, the world's leading organic yogurt maker, is introducing Blends -- pure organic yogurt blended with fresh fruit pieces and fruit purees. For yogurt lovers who crave a more satisfying cup, Blends are a delicious combination of organic milk and fruit that just might have yogurt fans thinking they're eating berries and cream.

"With the rising popularity of Greek yogurt, the trend is toward thicker, tastier and more satisfying varieties. We created Blends to be the perfect combination of thick, creamy yogurt with delicious real fruit," said Lindsay Hardie, Stonyfield Senior Brand Manager. "With more protein and real fruit stirred in, all you need is a spoon."

Blends are made with more organic milk to offer a thicker spoonful that has more protein to satisfy hunger. And since they're made with pure organic ingredients grown sustainably they're better for yogurt eaters and the planet.

Stonyfield Blends will replace Stonyfield's flavored "Smooth and Creamy" yogurts in grocery and natural food stores beginning in January. Blends will be available in both fat-free and low-fat with delicious flavors such as fat-free French Vanilla, Blueberry, Strawberry Banana, Lemon, Peach Mango and Blackberry, and low-fat French Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach, and Black Cherry.

Like all Stonyfield products, Blends are organic and produced without the use of toxic persistent pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones, genetically engineered ingredients (GMOs), and artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.
