MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- Mr. Maurice Giroux, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stellar Pacific Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SPX) ("Stellar" or the "Company") and a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101, is pleased with results obtained so far on the Balandougou Joint Venture in Guinea, West Africa. The JV Partners, in a meeting held in Guinea in December 2012, agreed to proceed to an independent overall compilation, interpretation and evaluation of all work results on Balandougou before planning the next phase of work. The Company hires AECOM to produce an independent report.
To date, regional and detailed soil geochemistry, airborne geophysical surveys, rock sampling of main gold occurrences and more than 16,000 metres of combined RC and Core drilling were done on different gold showing and anomalies. These works led to the discovery of 3 extensive gold structures referred to as the "Solotomo" discovery.
