WINCHESTER, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- January is typically a month devoted to reflection and assessment -- not just among individuals, but among businesses, as well. As the calendar page turns and a new year begins, corporations are faced with a prime opportunity for deciding which strategies have worked well in the past, and what kinds of changes and improvements need to be prioritized over the months to come. A recent CBS News report indicates that, for many businesses, the most urgent resolutions are those pertaining to customer satisfaction; the report has won the attention of Capital Meats, a company that recently celebrated a customer satisfaction milestone of its own.
In a new statement to the press, Capital Meats weighs in on the important role of customer service. "The CBS report hits the nail on the head: If you want to improve your business and enhance your bottom line, you can start by fine-tuning your customer satisfaction initiatives," says owner Scott McMichael, in the Capital Meats press statement. "At Capital Meats, for example, we take the customer experience very seriously -- and as such, we are proud to announce that we have achieved a 97 percent customer satisfaction rating."
McMichael says that his goal for 2012 was to prioritize customer satisfaction -- and clearly, it worked. Last year saw the company expanding its Customer Call Center and hiring dedicated Customer Care representatives in each of its 13 distribution centers. These efforts led to a significant increase in customer satisfaction scores, but McMichael says Capital Meats continues to look ahead.
"Ninety-seven percent is a terrific number and a big step toward meeting our goal -- but of course, our desire is to hit a perfect 100," he explains. McMichael goes on to note that, in 2013, Capital Meats intends to take further action to connect with customers, including a renewed focus on its social media channels.
Meanwhile, the CBS report indicates that there are many actions that businesses can take to enhance their customer service capacities -- many of those actions are fairly simple. For instance, the report suggests that businesses simply redouble their efforts at offering polite and responsive customer care.
