Grain futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index up 0.29 percent to 80.55 on the International Exchange.
Corn was up 5 to up 5 1/2, soybeans were off 1 to up 6, wheat was off 5 to off 6 1/2 and oats were up 1 1/2 to up 5 1/4.
Corn prices firmed with no major news, leaving traders to focus on Friday's U.S. Department of Agriculture's production estimate due Friday. The report is expected to show higher acreage for winter wheat than the previous winter. Soybean trading was cautious ahead of the report that could guide pricing through the spring.

Soybeans: Jan 14.19 3/4 up 6, Mar 13.85 1/2 off 1, May 13.75 1/4 off 3/4, Jly 13.72 1/4 off 1/4.
Wheat: Mar 7.45 1/2 off 5, May 7.54 1/2 off 5 3/4, Jly 7.61 1/2 off 5 3/4, Sep 7.72 1/2 off 6 1/2.
Oats: Mar 3.36 1/2 up 4 3/4, May 3.42 up 5, Jly 3.46 3/4 up 5 1/4, Sep 3.47 3/4 up 1 1/2.
