NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 09/05/12 -- TargetCast tcm (www.targetcast.com) today announced the promotion of Larry Orell, Managing Director of the agency's TargetCast Inside Division, to New Business Director. Established in February 2011, TargetCast Inside provides entrepreneurial creative agencies and their clients with the in-demand resources and reach of a national media agency. With Orell as Managing Director, TargetCast Inside has won several key pieces of business including Barrie D'Rozario Murphy for Lands' End; Keiler & Company for Lockheed Martin Corporation; The VIA Agency for People's United Bank; and on ideas for Winn-Dixie.
Orell will be based in New York and report to Steve Farella, TargetCast tcm co-founder and CEO. He will continue to serve as Managing Director of TargetCast Inside while overseeing all TargetCast new business efforts in his new role. His promotion comes at a time of continued growth for the agency, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year. MDC Partners also acquired a majority stake in TargetCast tcm in March, and the agency now operates within the Maxxcom family of media agencies, led by Farella.

Orell most recently worked as a consultant to WPP's MediaCom. Prior to that, he was at the Interpublic Group of Cos' Initiative, where he began as General Manager of the New York office and was eventually promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Initiative, Orell worked at The Lord Group, where he played a central role in the launch of IBM's PC and software. Over the course of his career, he has worked across categories, including automotive, beverages, corporate image, fashion, finance and consumer products goods and brands, including Saab, Chock full o'Nuts, Hitachi, Anne Klein II, AT&T Universal Card and Procter & Gamble.
