NHCA Hosts Annual Conference Sept. 27

The National Hispanic Construction Association (NHCA) will hold its annual conference this month, Thursday, Sept. 27 in Washington, D.C.

The NHCA conference will provide minority contractors and subcontractors tools to have a competetive and successful construction business.

Event presentations include an economic overview about national construction spending by Associated General Contractors of America Chief Economist Kenneth Simonson; and private and public construction insights by Hensel Phelps Director of Corporate Diversity Charles Eaton and Skanska Diversity Manager Renee Jones.

Attendees also will learn best practices for bidding on projects during the "Technology and Cutting Edge Tools for Latino Construction Companies: Accuracy and Productivity in Estimating" presentation.

Sponsors of the annual NHCA conference incluede Lowe's ProServices, DeWALT, Wells Fargo, Caterpillar and the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commmerce.

The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The NHCA provides its members with advocacy, education, consulting, business networking and procurement, industry information and group benefits to the local chapters and their members, including general contractors, developers, builders, subcontractors, design/engineering firms, construction workers, manufacturers, vendors, related corporations and public entities.
