Google & YouTube's Robert Kyncl to Keynote at MIPCOM 2012

Robert Kyncl, global head of content at Google/YouTube, will deliver a media mastermind keynote address on the future of media, entertainment and video content at MIPCOM on Monday Oct. 8. Organized by Reed MIDEM, MIPCOM will take place in Cannes from Oct. 8-11.

Kyncl's keynote is part of MIPCOM's Media Mastermind keynote series, focusing on a new breed of original content creators and financiers all working together in different ways to create and distribute great content. These 'Original Creators' will unveil their content strategies at MIPCOM.

More people than ever are watching existing or web original content online, over 800 million people watch over 4 billion hours a month on YouTube alone. YouTube's channel focus galvanized the creative and advertising community and has brought together major global brands, well-known celebrities and online video sensations that together are catalyzing the creation of new original content and captivate audiences worldwide.

Kyncl's keynote will explore this growing world of online content by covering:

As the Global Head of Content, Robert Kyncl's focus is to build out Google's presence in the media world. He oversees content partnerships across the entertainment, music, sports and news industries. Prior to joining Google, Kyncl was Vice President of Content Acquisitions at Netflix, where he spearheaded the company's content acquisition for streaming TV shows and movies over the Internet.
