NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 08/29/12 -- iCrossing, a global digital marketing agency, named Jonathan Adams, senior vice president, media for North America, to head its rapidly expanding media practice.
Adams joins iCrossing with over 20 years of experience in leading media services for Fortune 500 brands at both traditional and digital marketing agencies. Most recently, Adams served as SVP, director of global media at Digitas, where he managed media activities for clients such as Delta Air Lines, Equifax, Mead Johnson and Post Cereals.
At iCrossing, Adams, who reports to Brian Powley, president of North America, will direct the explosive growth of the North American media practice, which has come largely as a result of being named digital agency of record for a growing number of clients. In this role, iCrossing has been tasked with a brand's digital media planning and buying services, in addition to creative, strategy, search and other responsibilities.
"iCrossing's media practice is experiencing unprecedented growth; our display media spend has increased tenfold in the past year alone. As such, it was the right time to bring in an experienced media leader to elevate it to the next level, and Jonathan is exactly the right man for the job," said Powley. "His expertise in digital and emerging media, as well as his emphasis on integrating creative, data and consumer insights into the media mix aligns perfectly with iCrossing's vision of connectedness."
In addition to continuing to build iCrossing's media group, Adams is charged with staying at the forefront of new and developing media vehicles and tools, and delivering these solutions to clients. He will work closely with iCrossing's strategy and creative teams across all of its North American offices to produce connected marketing solutions for brands.
"I'm thrilled to join such a smart and innovative team, and to help scale their media practice to its full potential," said Adams. "I've found that Core Audience -- iCrossing's proprietary solution which helps media teams shift from merely managing channel mix to optimizing real audience relationships -- is clear evidence of their commitment to maximizing both data and consumer insights fully -- which is exactly what we need to lead the market in media."
Prior to Digitas, Adams was at OgilvyOne as a senior partner, group media director and at Lowe & Partners. He will remain active in the industry -- including continuing to serve on the 4A's Digital Marketing Committee, which he has chaired in previous years.
Adams is based out of iCrossing's headquarters in New York. He graduated from the University of Florida's College of Journalism with a bachelor's degree in advertising.
