Thirty people in Texas were on Friday charged with conspiracy to distribute and
possess Mexican-produced methamphetamine.
According to local TV channel ABC13, U.S. Attorney John Malcolm
Bales announced on Friday the indictment in Plano, Texas.
He said that the people indicted were believed to have
distributed more than 225 kg of methamphetamine, which, also known
as metamfetamine, is a psychostimulant of the phenethylamine and
amphetamine class of psychoactive drugs.
These people were reportedly part of a network that sold
methamphetamine in Greenville, about 80 km northeast of Dallas.
Three of these people are still on the run, and authorities have
called for help to bring them to justice.
