London Olympics: Daily Highlights

Here are the highlights of U.S. competition in London:

NBC coverage (EDT)

TUESDAY

10-10:30 a.m. - Day 3 in the pool for many U.S. stars.

10:30-11:15 a.m. - Swimming qualification (11 events).

11:15-11:45 a.m. - Rowing.

11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Men's volleyeball: Germany vs. U.S.

1:30-2 p.m. - Swimming.

2-2:30 p.m. - Rowing.

2:30-4 p.m. - Men's water polo: Romania vs. U.S.

4-5 p.m. - Beach volleyball: U.S. men vs. Spain.

8-midnight - Swimming, women's team gymnastics and diving.

12:35-1:35 a.m. - Swimming and beach volleyball.

1:35-4:30 a.m. - Primetime repeat.

Don't Miss: The pixies are back in the spotlight as Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber and the U.S. women's gymnastics team goes for the gold-medal team final. Will there be another Kerri Strug-like dramatic moment? The U.S. is favored after winning the 2011 world title. Stay tuned.

Other Highlights: Another busy day at the pool, including Phelps in the 200 fly and the U.S. team in the men's 800 free relay and Franklin in the women's 200 free, who will battle fellow American Allison Schmitt. The U.S. women's soccer plays North Korea, the U.S. men's volleyball team faces Germany, and the U.S. men's basketball team will be heavily favored over Tunisia.

WEDNESDAY

Don't Miss: Danell Leyva is back in the spotlight as he competes for the men's gymnastics all-around final. The man to beat is Kohei Uchimura of Japan, the three-time world champion, who won silver at the 2008 Beijing Games. Leyva's U.S. teammate, John Orozco, is also a medal contender.

Other Highlights: The telegenic beach volleyball players will get plenty of airtime, as they play on a makeshift beach near Buckingham Palace. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh try to three-peat. The U.S. women's volleyball team has a tough match against China, and the U.S. women's basketball team plays Turkey. Track cycling is sure to get a lot of coverage in England with British star Chris "The Real McCoy'' Hoy in action.
