Are Google Doodles Sexist Even in Light of Amelia Earhart's?

Blogger Shelby Knox has been carefully watching Google Doodles this year.

And with today's Doodle, which honors Amelia Earhart's 115th birthday, Knox has noticed a bit of an imbalance.

Earhart is only the sixth female honored in Google Doodle's 73 birthday celebrations of 2012.

Here are the other six women, according to Knox:

1. Anna Pavlova
2. May Ziade
3. Agniya Barto
4. Marcela Paz
5. Grace Cossington-Smith
6. Ruby Payne-Scott
7. Amelia Earhart

Knox was able to the Doodle count via Google itself and is accessing that the ratio of men to women is sexist.
