Moonshark, a mobile entertainment start-up, co-founded by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Qualcomm, today announced a partnership with international superstar Jennifer Lopez for the release of DancePad, a mobile finger-dancing game for iPad that lets users of all ages express themselves.
With 100 levels of choreographed finger-dancing set to music from top artists, DancePad offers an innovative, energetic gaming experience. It is available now on the App Store and at www.itunes.com/appstore.
DancePad is a brand new finger-dancing game for the iPad that challenges players to move their hands to the beat. Although the app is easy to learn, it is hard to master as users will have to skillfully jump, slide and jive around the dance floor following dance moves with their fingers. The better gamers get, the more levels they will unlock.
"DancePad combines great music and cool dance steps to create an amazing experience, so there is no one better to partner with on this app than Jennifer Lopez," said Matt Kozlov, CEO of Moonshark. "When we first showed the game to her, she was hooked, and now she's got everyone from her backup singers and dancers to her own kids playing DancePad."
DancePad features 100 levels and a soundtrack of more than 30 top artists, including Mayer Hawthorne, Vintage Trouble, Nabiha, The Whigs, Saint Motel, Shu Sho, and many more. Also featured are The Bangerz, best known as the musical masterminds behind the award-winning dance crew, Jabbawockeez. DancePad was originally conceived by Bounce House Games as an undergraduate project at the University of Southern California (USC), and further developed by Triangle Studios.
Moonshark worked with Jabbawockeez to create a video showcasing the energy of DancePad. The dance crew's celebrated moves and stylized rhythm were captured to show how dance embodies human expression. The DancePad promo video featuring Jabbawockeez is available here: http://youtu.be/7Js8kgU8t64
Moonshark's mission is to collaborate with the entertainment industry's most creative talent such as Lopez and Jabbawockeez, to create cutting-edge, engaging and original mobile experiences. With access to CAA's vast resources and deep relationships in entertainment, Moonshark is able to bring ideas to life from high-profile artists by identifying and working with leading developers, and then funding, marketing and publishing the apps.
