Visionista Picks up Gold, Silver at American Business Awards

Content and video marketing firm Visionista won a Gold Stevie for Sales Video Campaign of the year and a Silver Stevie for Employee Communications Video Campaign of the year at the 10th annual American Business Awards.

The Stevie awards and trophies were presented to honorees during the gala banquet on June 18 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended and the presentations were broadcast live by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Visionista, a firm established three years ago, and built on documentary filmmaking skills combined with 20 years of experience in corporate communications, competed against more than 3,000 other nominees, many from the world's largest traditional advertising agencies.

The company's founder, Camilla Sullivan, accepted the awards in person.

"A few years ago we had a vision to build a different kind of creative, communications agency -- fusing the best of filmmaking with innovative corporate communications," she said. "We don't think business-to-business marketing has to be boring! These awards are wonderfully reassuring that by taking a different approach, we're on the right track."

Visionista's Silver Award was for the employee launch of a redefined brand message for the employees of TIAA-CREF, a leading financial services organization with $487 billion in assets under management. The Gold Award was given for the "We Know Financial Services" sales campaign for Capco Consulting, a global business and technology consultant.

Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members of 10 specialized judging committees determined the Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging.
