PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- HP (NYSE: HPQ) today announced an all-star line-up for HP Discover 2012 that includes Don Henley, Sheryl Crow and the crew from the upcoming animated film "Madagascar 3."
The event's main-stage sessions will be emceed by comedian and actor Kunal Nayyar from the hit television series "The Big Bang Theory." Nayyar plays quirky astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali on the show, and also has been a guest star on "NCIS." In 2011, he co-hosted the "Tribute to Nerds" show with actor and comedian Simon Helberg at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
HP Discover 2012 attendees will also get a sneak peak of the adventures of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippopotamus in "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted." The preview will take place on Tuesday, June 5, and will be hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg, chief executive officer, DreamWorks Animation.
The four-day event will culminate on Thursday, June 7, with a concert by nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow, followed by multi-Grammy Award winner, Don Henley.
Sheryl Crow's debut album, the seven times platinum Tuesday Night Music Club, hit No. 3 and earned three Grammys -- Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance -- for the classic "All I Wanna Do." The album also featured the songs "Strong Enough," "Can't Cry Anymore," and "Leaving Las Vegas."
Best known as a founder of the legendary rock band the Eagles, as well as an influential solo artist, Don Henley has maintained an extraordinary commitment to music and to various philanthropic efforts throughout his career, including a dedication to environmental issues and artists' rights.
HP Discover 2012 will take place at the Venetian Hotel and Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas during the week of June 4.
