International Social Media Investments will list in London in the next fortnight with the sole aim of acquiring a social media company for up to
pounds sterling 25 million.
The startup's chairman will be internet veteran Andrew Hobsbawm, founding
director of internet marketing agency Online Magic, which merged with New York
marketing firm agency.com.
A fellow director will be Justin Marciano, chief executive of film
producer and distributor Revolver Entertainment.
Revolver has won a series of awards for its marketing prowess and the aim
is for Marciano to use his expertise to find a social media company with
similar potential.
International Social Media Investments said social media firms tend to
grow to a certain stage but then struggle to find capital to become much
bigger.
