Shonda Rhimes' publicist says the Hollywood writer-producer has adopted a baby girl named Emerson Pearl.
Rhimes previously adopted daughter Harper in 2002.
She told E! News Emerson is a "zen baby."
"We're just doing a lot of bonding right now," she said. "This is a happy time -- I feel so lucky."
The "Grey's Anatomy" creator did not say how old the child is or where she was born.
