According to Comingsoon.net, Peter Farrelly of the movie-making duo the Farrelly brothers has confirmed that a sequel to "Dumb and Dumber," complete with original stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, will be shooting later this year. "Dumb and Dumber 2" represents the Farrelly Bros. first return to the popular property; a prequel called "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" was a studio project and the Farrellys were not involved.
Peter Farrelly revealed the news at a press junket in support of his pending film, "The Three Stooges." The original "Dumb and Dumber" premiered in 1994; it was the first of the seven movies that the brothers have co-written and directed together; they have produced or directed six other films as well (along with directing the live sequences form "Osmosis Jones").
