Madonna

Somebody's in trouble ...

Madonna told Brian Williams this week that she "wasn't happy" to see those pics of her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes smoking with her friends. The Material Girl admitted she's not as tough on Lourdes as she should be.

"It's hard; every day is a negotiation," she said. "But cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of, for anyone. I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter."

Gee Mom, but what about those cigs you smoke in your videos?

"There's a difference," Madonna said. She just uses cancer sticks as "an accessory."

She's an actor!

Shannen Doherty has a new reality show, "Shannen Says," on WE TV. But don't you dare call her a reality star.

"First and foremost, I am an actor and always will be," she tells Life & Style mag. "George Clooney does coffee commercials in Colombia, does that make him a commercial actor? Hell, no, he's a movie star. I'm still an actor."

Shannen is letting cameras follow her as she plans her wedding to photographer Kurt Iswarienko in seven weeks.

Ted targets Democrats

Ted Nugent is sticking to his guns about what he said at an NRA convention over the weekend.

He said conservatives must rally around Mitt Romney and "ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

The rocker's fightin' words earned him a conversation with Secret Service investigators this week.

He said on Glenn Beck's radio show that "I've never threatened anybody's life in my life. I don't threaten, I don't waste breath threatening. I just conduct myself as a dedicated 'We the people' activist because I've saluted too many flag-draped coffins to not appreciate where the freedom comes from."

Roseanne takes on Romney

And from the other side of the political spectrum ...

Roseanne Barr -- who is running for president, y'all -- is going after Ann Romne y's comments that being a mom is a full-time job.

"Mrs. Mitt Romney claims to have worked her toned a@@ off, raising five Romney males all on her own, as privileged wives often do -- but, no, Ann, I call (bull) on your Big Mama story, girlfriend," Roseanne wrote in a column for the Daily Beast.

Roseanne took Romney to task for saying she raised her family on her own, with a little help from a maid who came in to clean a couple of hours a week.

She's not a rabbit!

Ask Carolina Herrera about her bridal gowns and even fashion bloggers. ("I've seen one who was 13 years old sitting front row. I'm just fascinated and amused at how many followers they have.") But stop asking the ever-elegant designer how she stays so trim.

"I was on CNN, and they asked me if I eat salad all day to stay thin and I said, 'Do you think I am a rabbit?' I find it boring these women who are always talking about being on a diet," she says.

Baby boom

-- Melissa Joan Hart, who turned 36 this week, is pregnant with her and husband Mark Wilkerson's third child.

--Husband-and-wife -- and "True Blood" co-stars -- Anna Paquin, 29, and Stephen Moyer, 42, are expecting their first child in the fall.

Silence not golden

Nicole Kidman tells W magazine what it was like to have hubby Keith Urban's voice silenced for three weeks last fall when he had throat surgery to repair damaged vocal cords.

"Three weeks of no sound -- no laughing, no coughing, no sneezing, nothing," she says. "He could write things down, and he would scribble away."

She says she cried when she heard him speak for the first time after the surgery.

"How many people experience their husband's first words?" she says. "If that doesn't bring you closer, you're not breathing."
