Today at SXSW Accelerator Social Media category finalists, Geeklist, announced integration with Instagram API's to allow their private beta users to share their true geek personality. This makes them the first ever Achievement-based site where developers and geeks can showcase not only their great work, but also images that share their daily geek lifestyle.
"When recruiting developers it's always been critical to bring people who have a great personality, take pride in their geek equipment and embrace their 'geekiness.' Geeks love to get credit for what they've done and now they can share visual details like the Pycon event they went to or Javascript parties, hackathons and their work space," says CTO and Co-founder, Christian Sanz.
Having already integrated with Github, Geeklist is leading the way in uniting developers into their platform and providing them and companies alike the clearest and most unique user-generated geek data in the developer world. "Launching this at SXSW Interactive after hearing Al Gore and Sean Parker talk about the importance of Geeks and their ability to change the world through the Internet is very special to us," stated Reuben Katz, Geeklist's CEO and Co-founder. "The developers in our site like http://geekli.st/harper whose card states 'I am helping re-elect President Obama', can now share photos relevant to that work and their path to get there. In building your Geek Credibility, personality is everything. Sharing via Instagram is one more piece to the puzzle we are completing."
Geeklist, Inc. is the world's first Achievement based platform for uniting developers. They are located virtually at http://geekli.st and physically in the heart of San Francisco's SoMa startup scene inside RocketSpace at 181 Fremont Street, San Francisco, CA, 94105
