Last night, Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter held his first live performance since sister Leslie died earlier this week and he dedicated his song "Falling Down" to her.

Leslie, 25, suffered an apparent overdose.

Days prior to the show, Carter tweeted that "performing is cathartic" to him, so the show must go on despite the family's huge loss. "I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform," he said in a statement.

He also tweeted hours before his Irving Plaza show that he was looking forward to hanging with his fans, or his "extended family."

Carter is in the middle of promoting his second solo album "I'm Taking Off." He will resume his tour with mega boy band NKOTBSB in March.

He has solo shows scheduled for the weekend and int the middle of next week. Tonight he plays in Baltimore, MD, followed by Philadelphia on Feb. 4, Boston on Feb. 6, Huntington, NY on Feb. 7, and Allentown, PA on Feb. 8.

Carter appeared on Good Morning America today to discuss Leslie's passing.
