WASHINGTON, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) invites its members and chamber of commerce executives from across the country to attend the 22nd Annual Legislative Summit, slated for March 21-23, 2012 at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center in Washington D.C. As a component of this annual USHCC signature event, registered attendees will have an opportunity to participate in Hill Day on March 22 to meet with the country's leading policy makers in a one-on-one setting.
Hill Day is an effort by the USHCC to bring together various Hispanic Chamber affiliates for meetings with senior leadership and policy makers on Capitol Hill to share information about their Chamber and discuss their legislative priorities and the critical issues impacting their businesses and industries.
"Hill Day is a 22-year-old tradition that is unique to the USHCC Legislative Summit and is one of the most significant benefits for those who attend the annual event," says USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "Hill Day visits make it possible for our chamber leaders and members to dialogue with key political leaders who have the power and influence to make a difference in policies affecting American business today."
This year's Hill Day will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012 with meetings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration is required for Hill Day and involves a separate registration process from the Legislative Summit. There is no additional cost to register for Hill Day but attendees must be registered for the Summit to participate. Registration for Hill Day simply entails filling out the online "Chamber Hill Form" at ushcclegislative.com/chamberinfo.
The Summit includes the Opening Reception, Federal Procurement Business Matchmaking, and the Celebration of Women Entrepreneurship in America Gala. Other events include the Welcome Breakfast, as well as a number of focused workshops dedicated to pertinent topics such as Improving Access to Capital, America's Energy Future, U.S. Leadership in the Global Food Economy, and other key issues that are relevant to business owners today.
