-- Pee-wee Herman is a comedic character portrayed by Paul Reubens (born as Paul Rubenfeld).
-- Reubens was born on August 27, 1952 -- so the comedic actor is 59 years old!
-- Pee-wee's big movie hit from 1985, "Pee-wee's Big Adventure," was co-written by Reuben's friend Phil Hartman, who would later appear on "Pee-wee's Playhouse" and notably, become a mainstay on "Saturday Night Live."
-- Tim Burton's first job directing a feature-length film was for "Pee-wee's Big Adventure." It was also the first time that Burton had Oingo Boingo's Danny Elfman to provide music for a film.
