February 2, 2012

Seventy-one people were killed in the rioting that followed a local soccer match in Egypt's coastal city of Port Said, the Ministry of Health said Thursday.

The ministry said in a statement that three bodies had been mistakenly added to an earlier death toll.

An estimated 318 people were still in hospital receiving medical treatment following the mayhem, the ministry said.
