HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 11/08/12 -- Dr. Sam Sukkar, a practitioner of Houston plastic surgery, has always operated with the goal of high-quality results. Sukkar Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, his surgical practice, emphasizes to patients the importance of board certification, education and training, experience, and an accredited surgery facility. Dr. Sukkar's adoption of the innovative Sientra breast implant is evidence of this emphasis, as the practice continues to maintain their commitment to the latest advancements in technology and technique in cosmetic enhancement.
The Sientra breast implant is an alternative option for women seeking breast augmentation. Newly approved by the FDA, the Sientra implant is a form-stable, silicone-gel implant and is considered a fifth-generation implant of its type. One notable aspect of the implant is that only board-certified surgeons are able to work with Sientra, reinforcing Dr. Sukkar's belief that the experience and education of a patient's surgeon is vital when deciding upon a plastic surgery practice. Sientra breast implants come in a variety of basic shapes -- round, round based, oval based, and classic based -- but as a result of the state-of-the-art material used, the implant can be further customized by the surgeon. To allow for this level of customization, Sientra kept the aspects of profile, proportion, and projection in mind during the developmental process. The ideology of the implant rejects the notion of one-size-fits-all that can lead to an unnatural appearance for patients.
Dr. Sukkar believes that the ability to tailor and contour the shape of each implant to align with the individual goals of his patients is a marked improvement over more traditional implants. With Sientra, patients will experience implants that are resilient in holding their shape while simultaneously retaining a soft and flexible quality that provides a natural look and feel. As a board-certified Houston plastic surgeon, Dr. Sukkar is proud to be able to continually provide his patients with the best the field has to offer.
