LARKSPUR, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/01/12 -- Jack McLaughlin, co-founder of My Broker Donates, today announced that The Rabbit Haven received its first donation resulting from a My Broker Donates-facilitated home sale. The Rabbit Haven is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that provides shelter and sanctuary for abandoned and surrendered rabbits, and education in the proper care of rabbits. My Broker Donates is a social enterprise that provides home buyers and sellers with a free service to help them find a Realtor and channels broker referral fees into donations for non-profit organizations.

The Rabbit Haven, which is entirely funded by individual donors and grants, partnered with My Broker Donates in January 2012 to increase donations. Karen and Darrell Thomas, volunteers at The Rabbit Haven for the past six years, registered with MBD in June to facilitate the sale of their Los Gatos home. The transaction, which closed in September, resulted in a $4,000 donation to The Rabbit Haven.
