BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Oct. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon Latin America announced today the winners of the second edition of Kids' Choice Awards Argentina. With more than 10.5 million votes registered on www.mundonick.com, Nick's favorite artists walked the stage to receive the desired zeppies.
In the television category, GRACHI was this year's "Favorite TV Show" and its leading actress, Isabella Castillo, won the award for "Favorite Actress" for her role in the series. Violetta won top honors for "Favorite Actor" (Pablo Espinosa), "Favorite Villain" (Mercedes Lambre) and "Breakthrough Artist" (Martina Stoessel). Victorious was chosen for "Favorite International TV Show."
International pop sensation, One Direction, took home a zeppy for their hit single "What Makes You Beautiful," while the English boy band, Big Time Rush, was awarded for "Favorite International Artist/Band." Luciana Aymar was considered the most valuable player winning "Athlete of the Year."
Favio Posca and Miranda! kicked off the night with a unique musical duo. Axel, EME15 and Rocke Bones rocked the audience playing some of their most popular songs. Beto Cuevas and Patricia Sosa starred in the most emotional moment of the night when the Chilean musician recognized Patricia Sosa for her humanitarian work by giving her the Pro-Social award. Multifaceted international actress, Victoria Justice, along with Roger, gave the award for "Latin Artist" to Axel.
As only Favio Posca knows how, he kept the excitement in the audience by presenting every moment. Some of the artists who attended KCAs Argentina included Mexican singer and actress, Danna Paola, international band, The Wanted, Martina Stoessel, Mercedes Lambre, Jorge Blanco, Gaston Soffritti, Rodrigo Noya, Roger, Isabella Castillo, Andres Mercado, Jenny Williams, Violeta Urtizberea, Benjami Rojas, Pablo Espinosa, Agustina Cordova, Peter Punk's cast, amongst others.
Renowned international band, Big Time Rush, culminated the night performing two of their hit singles, which were chanted out loud by the audience who was filled with pure adrenaline.
Kids' Choice Awards tradition, the famous green substance - slime, was present throughout the show bathing some of the celebrities creating an even more exciting evening.
