REDWOOD SHORES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/31/12 -- Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL)
•Adventist Health System, a not-for-profit health care organization supporting 43 campuses across the United States, has selected Oracle applications and technology as the foundation for a new integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) environment. •The health care system will deploy Oracle's PeopleSoft Financial Management, Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Oracle's PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management applications, Oracle Fusion HR Analytics, Oracle Fusion Financial Analytics, and Oracle Fusion Procurement and Spend Analytics, as well as Oracle Database 11g and Oracle Hyperion Performance Management Applications. •The effective utilization of these new ERP and EPM applications across multiple hospital campuses, as well as skilled nursing facilities and other entities, will enable Adventist Health System to perform at an optimum efficiency level integrating these business functions electronically and seamlessly. •After a comprehensive competitive review, Adventist Health System selected Oracle based on its product functionality, tight integration of Oracle Hyperion Performance Management and Oracle Fusion Analytics, and a low total cost of ownership.
•"Embarking on this Enterprise Resource Planning initiative is essential if we want to be a thriving health care system in the future health care environment," said Don Jernigan, president/CEO of Adventist Health System, "and selecting our ERP vendor is an important step in this journey. When fully implemented, we will be more effective and efficient system-wide. But more importantly, this will allow us to put even more resources at the patient bedside so that we can do more for our patients, their families and the communities we serve." •"To deliver increasingly efficient and effective care to a growing patient population, Adventist requires visibility across its organization as well as business tools that enable expanded business insight and collaboration," said Marc Perlman, global vice president, Oracle Healthcare and Life Sciences. "Oracle's PeopleSoft applications enable progressive and proactive healthcare systems, like Adventist Health System, to create an integrated ERP and EPM environment that deliver on these requirements and drive more accountable patient care and services."
