Hundreds of seasonal employees are being hired for Amazon.com Inc.'s Jeffersonville distribution center.
According to a press release, Integrity Staffing Solutions -- a specialty staffing company -- announced Amazon will hire hundreds of seasonal employees to staff a new warehouse in Jeffersonville.
"We're looking forward to finding outstanding Louisville metropolitan-area residents to be among our seasonal associates and encourage anyone interested in applying to visit our local recruiting office or our website worktodaylouisville.com," said Integrity Staffing Solutions President and CEO Todd Bavol in the news release.
Joe McIntyre, a public relations associate with Karma Agency, which submitted the release, would not offer how many employees the company plans to hire only that it will be "more than 500."
According to the online job posting that identifies Amazon, available positions include day and night full-time, part-time and weekend opportunities in picking, packing, shipping, receiving and management ranging between $10.50 and $11 per hour with "plenty of chances for overtime."
Additionally, Amazon is offering weekly paychecks and medical benefits, including health and dental insurance to full-time employees who qualify after one week of work.
Prospective employees can apply for positions at the Jeffersonville location by visiting the Integrity recruiting office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 1453 10th St. in Jeffersonville or online at WorkTodayLouisville.com.
